Trailers are not usually aesthetically pleasing but they do add play value to a collection of diecasts. Diecast ranges with many farm vehicles like Siku, Britain’s and Corgi have a large number of trailers.
The Matchbox 1-75 had 6 trailers in its line up in 1969 and 1970.
#2. Mercedes Trailer #9. Boat and Trailer # 23 Trailer Caravan (#57 Eccles caravan in 1970) #38 Honda Motorcycle and Trailer #40 Hay Trailer and # 43 Pony Trailer
I no longer have any of those trailers, though I had a few as a kid. These are the trailers I have now:
The Jeep and Boat Trailer came in a Siku twin pack. The Matchbox Travel Trailer came in an “outdoor” 5 Pack, along with a Chevrolet Suburban with tow hook.
The Travel Trailer next to an earlier #31 Caravan (from 1977).
The Chevrolet Suburban looks good towing the Majorette Lion Cage Trailer, which I found at Drybridge Market.
Back in 1969/70 many Matchbox cars had tow hooks even supercars like the Iso Grifo.
My Mercedes Truck is still awaiting a Mercedes Trailer to attach to its diecast tow hook.
